Click Create New from the dashboard to open the new map screen. You will be asked for three things before you can start building.
WORKFLOW NAME
Give your map a clear, descriptive name. The name should describe the process, not the client. If you have already organised by client using Spaces, the map name just needs to identify the workflow itself.
Good examples:
- Client Onboarding Process
- Google Review to Facebook Posting
- New Enquiry to Proposal Sent
- Invoice to Payment Reconciliation
Avoid vague names like "Onboarding V2" or "New Process". You will thank yourself later when you have dozens of maps and need to find something quickly.
DESCRIPTION (OPTIONAL)
A short note on what this workflow covers and any important context. This is for your reference and appears in the Workflow Overview panel inside the mapper. It is optional but useful, especially when you are managing maps across multiple clients.
PROJECT CURRENCY
Choose the currency that matches your client. This affects all cost calculations in the mapper and all figures in FixFlow reports. Options are USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, and CAD.
Set this correctly before you start building. Changing it later does not convert existing figures, it only changes the currency symbol displayed.
CREATING THE WORKFLOW
Click Create Workflow and the mapper canvas opens with a blank canvas ready for your first trigger.
