Client Workspaces for Consultants

Written by Devon Page

Setting Up a Client Workspace

If you work as a consultant, WorkflowMaps includes a dedicated client feature for managing engagements.

  1. From the dashboard, open Clients in the left hand menu.

  2. Here you can see every workspace you have created for a client, or connected to.

  3. When you start a new engagement, create a new workspace for that client.

New client workspaces come with a 12 month free build period, during which you can map and analyze the client's processes at no cost to them.

Billing and Ownership After the Free Build Period

At the end of the 12 month free build period, you have two options for a client workspace:

  • Transfer the workspace to the client, so they take over payment on the core plan directly.

  • Keep the workspace yourself, paying 50 percent of the cost of the core plan. You can then either bill the client for this directly, or absorb the cost as part of your service.

Regardless of which option you choose, the client always owns their data. They can request to have their workspace transferred into their own ownership at any point during the engagement, not only at the end of the free build period.

Connecting to an Existing Client Workspace

If a client is already using WorkflowMaps on their own, you do not need to create a new workspace for them. Instead, you can connect to their existing workspace using the owner's email address.

Once connected, your consultant workspace can work inside the client's workspace, including running FixFlow analyses on their maps directly.

To move between the workspaces you are part of, click on your name in the top right hand corner of the dashboard and select the workspace you want to switch into.
